1. Keep a record of your daily/weekly/monthly household water consumption.
   This way, when there is a sudden increase in your water consumption, you will know if it 
    matches your daily activities or that you might have a leak in your water supply system

2. Check that your water consumption matches your municipal bill.

3. What to do in the event that you suspect that there is a leak in your water supply system
                 • Call you insurance company and request a Leak detection
                 • Obtain a certificate from the Leak Detection company to verify that you have a 
                    leak.
                 • Ensure that the municipality receives a copy of the certificate (which verifies the 
                    existence of a leak in your water supply system).
                 • Repair the leak
                 • Apply for a once-off rebate at your municipality
